Explore Our Assessment Tools

The Community Resilience Menu is divided into three assessment areas – (1) Agriculture & Local Food Systems, (2) Built & Natural Environment, and (3) Clean Energy & Efficiency. Each section starts with an introduction followed by a series of questions. These assessments can be used to direct you to specific areas of the menus that may be most useful to your community.
Organization
The CRM Assessment Tools are intended to direct users to topics of interest and the sections of the menu that may be most appropriate (e.g., appetizers, lighter fare, etc). Each Assessment Tool is comprised of a series of questions that users answer, and depending on their responses, are directed to appropriate places in the Menu with specific strategies and resources to help address the issue. Communities may be at different places in the menu on different themes. For example, a community that has done very little work issues associated with the built and natural environments may be directed to “appetizers” to gather background information about an issue. A community that has already learned about food and agriculture systems and is ready to get started, may be directed to “lighter fare.” And a community that has done a lot of work on energy will be directed to energy entrees because they are prepared for more substantial action.
