About RESET
About RESET and the RESET Collaborative
RESET helps communities develop local priorities so they can have input with developers on large-scale solar and wind projects. Through education and engagement, communities can create a shared vision before large-scale projects are built. Having these conversations in advance helps communities effectively negotiate with developers to maximize community wealth-building, local workforce development, and environmental benefits.
RESET participants includes the stakeholder groups that are impacted by large-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects.
RESET Objectives
- Increase the expertise of state, local, and tribal governments around renewable energy planning, permitting, and siting.
- Educate and engage local stakeholders to ensure future siting decisions respect community priorities and values.
- Create a toolkit for any community to develop their own community priorities around large-scale renewable energy projects.
