Wind and Solar Tour in Fond du Lac
Join UW-Madison Extension’s RESET for an educational journey as we tour Alliant Energy’s Springfield Solar and Cedar Ridge Wind farms.
This event offers a firsthand look at renewable energy projects in Wisconsin and the impact they have on our communities.

Where: Eden Community Center (located at 104 Pine St, Eden, WI)
Agenda:
- 11:30 AM – Kick-off at the Eden Community Center
- 12:00 PM – Enjoy a delicious lunch and educational presentations before the tour
- 1:00 PM – Bus tour starts
- Hear from an operator at Springfield Solar
- Experience a turbine up close at Cedar Ridge Wind Farm!
- 4:00 PM – Bus tour ends at Eden Community Center
RSVP Information:
Dress code: We will be on active project sites, closed toed shoes are required. Please dress to be outside, including hats, long sleeved clothing, and sunscreen.
Rain Plan: In the event of severe weather, the tour will be rescheduled for Wednesday, August 26. A final decision will be made, and notification emails will be sent, by the morning of the event.
Videography: This event will be videotaped for educational purposes. By attending, you consent to being filmed.

Renewable Energy Cohort Webinar Series
As Wisconsin’s energy landscape shifts, many local governments are navigating large-scale wind and solar siting for the first time.
To help communities handle these changes with confidence, we invite you to join the Fall 2026 Renewable Energy Cohort. This four session series is designed for local government officials and staff, and will take place weekly on Thursdays from 12-1:30pm.
These programs are open to all. The University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension provides equal opportunities in employment and programming in compliance with state and federal law.
